FWIW: Wireside Chat with Lawrence Lessig 6PM February 25

I meant to mention this last week:

There will be a “wireside chat” with Lawrence Lessig, who we’ve talked about/talked around a bit this term already– he’s the law professor who has advocated so doggedly for reconsidering copyright and intellectual property rules in light of the “web 2.0″ world.

The talk will be a live webcast, on Thursday, February 25, 6pm to 7:30pm, and it will be on campus in Halle Library room 300.

I’m not completely sure I will be able to make it or not, but it is one of those things that probably would be “worth it.” And if there is a large enough group here who’s interested, maybe we could make it one of those optional but recommended face to face gatherings followed by a debriefing session at The Corner?

Sounds interesting! I have no commitments after work that day, though it is sandwiched between two due dates for work/class. I’ll still try to make it out!

That won’t work for me–full schedule of classes in the AM, parent conferences in the afternoon and evening, with an eye exam during the “dinner” hour. You probably won’t hear from me at all that day. If someone else goes, could you summarize the main points for those of us who cannot? Please?
