Before I start posting places to discuss this week’s readings (I’ll get to that yet this evening, hopefully), I wanted to once again remind you about the “wireside chat” with Lawrence Lessig. It will be:
6-7:30pm, Thursday, Feb 25th
Eastern Michigan University Library, Room 300 (3rd Floor)
I brought this up before, but I have put together this poll about class interest in a) attending the event, and b) possibly meeting after the event at The Corner to discuss and generally have a pleasant time. Please do vote, even if you aren’t planning on going!
You will note when you visit the poll, there are basically three options: attending the webcast; attending the after event at The Corner; and not attending at all. If you can only come to either the Lessig talk or The Corner, check just one of those boxes; if you can’t come at all, check the last box.
I personally am somewhat torn about attending the event, simply because while I am sure it will be interesting and useful, I have other obligations on Thursday nights that I’d probably have to reschedule/rework to attend this. So if there is enough interest (say, five or so votes “yes”), then I’ll be there. Oh, and by “there,” I mean whichever event(s) receive at least five votes: the presentation, The Corner, or both.
Hope that makes sense, and again do vote!
Hey everyone:
It will be hard to get off work by 6. But I can come after work. let me know.
I’ll be bowling for charity that night, sorry
